Project p5 consists in drawing up a Guide for the application of ISO/IEC Guide 65 General requirements for bodies operating products certification systems to certification bodies in the field of legal metrology.

In particular, this Guide could be used:

• by relevant Authorities to evaluate the competence of national Type Evaluation Bodies;
• by accreditation bodies which assess certification bodies in the field of legal metrology;
• by CIML Members who designate OIML Issuing Authorities.
