Project p4 consists in drawing up an OIML Guide for the application of ISO/IEC 17025 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories to the assessment of Testing Laboratories involved in legal metrology.

In particular, this Guide will be used for the peer assessments conducted in the implementation of the Mutual Acceptance Arrangement (MAA) and by ILAC full Members when assessing laboratories which perform testing in the field of legal metrology.

This Guide may also be used by national Type Evaluation Bodies to evaluate the competence of their subcontracting testing laboratories, if any.
