Project p8 consists in the revision of OIML B 10-1 Framework for a Mutual Acceptance Arrangement on OIML Type Evaluations and Project p9 consists in the revision of OIML B 10-2 Checklists for Issuing Authorities and Testing Laboratories carrying out OIML type evaluations.

Preliminary discussions on the revision of OIML B 10-1 and B 10-2 were held at the TC 3/SC 5 meeting in May 2008. On this occasion, it was decided to withdraw OIML B 10-2, mostly due to the fact that OIML D 29 and D 30 are now available. Consequently, the revision of OIML B 10-1 will be renamed OIML B 10.

The first Committee Draft (1 CD) has been drawn up on the basis of the conclusions of the TC 3/SC 5 meeting and of additional inputs from CPR Members.

The second Committee Draft (2 CD) has been drawn up on the basis of the comments received to  1CD and the conclusions from the TC 3/SC 5 October 2010 meeting. Two versions were produced, one without the inclusion of the proposal to use MTL results and one including this proposal.

TC 3/SC 4 approved  B 10 2 CD, version without the inclusion of MTL results.  This 2 CD was submitted as DD to CIML for prelimary balloting and received 34 votes in favour.

The DD will be submitted to the 46th CIML for final approval.
