OIML Facilitator´s e-mail

Having been appointed OIML Facilitator on Developing Country Matters by the 13th International Conference in October 2008 I sent e-mails to OIML Members and Corresponding Members of Developing Countries asking for response in case they wanted to be informed by e-mail on ongoing activities. Those responding received the e-mail a copy of which is shown below for the interested public. Whoever wants to receive my e-mails directly should inform me (Eberhardseiler@msn.com).

E-mail: Facilitator_09_01_05

Dear colleague,
Thanks for your response to my mail of December 20, 2008 and your interest in legal metrology activities. In the attachment to this mail you will find a “preprint” of the article to be published in the January issue of the OIML Bulletin on ideas about the work of the “Facilitator”.
My question today is whether you are interested in an active cooperation as mentioned in the “preprint”. This cooperation could focus on any activity you want to undertake in legal metrology (preparation of regulations, implementation/enforcement of legislation, verification instructions, …) and where some support from my side would be helpful. Please feel free to inform me about your project and the problem you are facing with regard to its realization. I will check what I can do for you and what we can achieve together. In case you have successfully started or completed a legal metrology activity which could be of interest to others please let me know. We can prepare a publication either for the OIML web site or for the OILM Bulletin so that your colleagues have the opportunity to check whether they can follow your example. I look forward to a fruitful cooperation with you in 2009 and I wish you all success.

Kind regards,
Eberhard Seiler
OIML Facilitator on Developing Country Matters
