Dear colleagues,

the April edition of the OIML Bulletin contains the announcement of the OIML Award for excellent contributions from Developing Countries to Legal Metrology. Proposals may be made by individuals, institutions or organizations and should contain facts, documents and arguments why the candidate deserves the Award.

Since the closing date is approaching  (1 July) I would like to remind you to check whether you can propose a candidate. Your proposal should be sent either to me or to the BIML. The Award winner will be selected by the CIML President after the assessment of the contribution or achievement with regard to

• The significance and importance
• The novelty
• The attractiveness and adaptability for other legal metrology services.

I expect that with your cooperation the first winner can be announced by the CIML President during the 44 CIML Meeting at Mombasa in October this year.
