Developing Countries

The OIML encourages the participation of developing countries at all levels of its work.

Specific activities in support of developing countries are currently organised by the OIML's Permanent Working Group on Developing Countries (PWGDC).

A Forum for Developing Countries entitled Metrology - Trade Facilitator ? was held in Berlin on 25 October 2004. This event was a great success, attracting the participation of around 160 people. More information can be found by following the link on the left.

The OIML also participates in the Joint Committee on coordination of technical assistance to Developing Countries in Metrology, Accreditation and Standardization (JCDCMAS), and held the secretariat of this committee during 2005. The secretariat is currently held by UNIDO. For more information, please follow the link on the left.
